South Korea set to roll out world's first 5G phone ahead of rivals

Samsung is set to beat US rival Motorola by releasing the world's first 5G-enabled phone to the public on April 5. We visit Korean telco KT Corporation's 5G Experience Zone to see what changes the ultra-fast network will bring.

South Korean student Lee Sang-jin can hardly wait as his country races against time to put the world's first 5G phone on sale.

"5G will definitely change our lives as everything will become faster and more autonomous, and we can get to try new experiences in hologram and virtual reality," the 21-year-old told The Straits Times.
