Join The Straits Times' manpower correspondent Joanna Seow and Ms Christine Gan, a principal career coach at Workforce Singapore, as they discuss what to do if you are unemployed. They will also share tips on how to prepare for the next opportunity.
About the speakers:
Joanna Seow
Manpower Correspondent, The Straits Times
Joanna Seow has been covering the manpower beat at The Straits Times for over seven years and has experience supervising the business section. She has written extensively about employment-related issues and policies, including opportunities for reskilling and switching careers. She holds a degree in sociology from the University of Warwick and a Masters degree in journalism from Columbia University.
Christine Gan
Principal Career Coach, Workfoce Singapore
Christine Gan is a Principal Career Coach with Workforce Singapore. In the last 5 years, she has coached many jobseekers to embark on a more fulfilling job search journey. Christine has an Advanced Certificate in Career Development Facilitation, and is also certified in Job & Career Transition and Career Construction. She is currently completing her Master of Counselling. Prior to WSG, she has more than 8 years of headhunting experience. In addition to her passion in helping jobseekers, Christine is also a volunteer marriage counsellor and pre-marital counsellor.
