Two decades on, the virtual pet website, credited with helping to inspire a generation of engineers and artists, struggles to keep up with tech trends.

Being a 20-something is a rarity for websites.

Internet pioneers such as social website Friendster and Web host Geocities did not make it beyond two decades, but on Friday, a virtual pet website called Neopets, once a craze among Singaporeans, will turn 20.
