A recent incident involving a BMW driver changing his car licence plate to one registered to a Hyundai in Singapore before speeding on a Malaysian highway has highlighted the difficulty victims face in seeking recourse.

The BMW was caught speeding, but the RM150 (S$49) summons was issued to the Hyundai vehicle instead.
