SINGAPORE - Fans of Cartoon Network's We Bare Bears show will be able to collect limited edition tote bags of the beloved characters if they spend at least $10 at food chain Shihlin Taiwan Street Snacks.

The Taiwanese street food chain is collaborating with the popular cartoon show to give away the A4-sized tote bags, which are water resistant.

The popular chain, which has outlets at nex, The Clementi Mall and Tampines Mall, will also feature a new seasonal item on the menu - Crispy BEARtastic Mushroom, in either grilled seaweed, roasted cuttlefish or sweet and sour flavours.

Cashiers and staff at the Shihlin outlets will also be decked in We Bare Bears aprons, while food will be served in themed paper boxes featuring the three cartoon bears.

In March, the popular cartoon series "invaded" Sentosa, with more than 300 inflatable bears scattered across the island.

The inflatables display also featured a 15m-tall stack of the three bears - Grizzly, Panda and Ice Bear - at the entrance of Palawan Green.

The show's creator, Chinese-American Daniel Chong, told The Straits Times in an interview last October that the show is "an allegory for what it feels like to be a minority in America" - something he has grown increasingly outspoken about since the election of US President Donald Trump last year.

Chong, who worked on Disney and Pixar films, wanted to express multicultural points of view through the show, which was launched in 2015.
