In this week's episode of That's Life, host Lydia Vasko speaks to Singaporean film-maker Boo Junfeng about his latest film, Apprentice, which opened in local theatres on Thursday.

About a prison guard with a dark secret who is training to be an executioner, the film was praised at its screenings at Cannes Film Festival and Syndey Film Festival earlier this year.

In That's Life, the soft-spoken film-maker explains why he wanted to make a film about the death penalty, why he is against the death penalty himself, and why, despite his own dark, philosophical film-making style, he still likes animated films by Pixar.
