Card skimming, or the theft of credit and debit card details and PINs, is increasingly being targeted at e-commerce sites.

Last month, The Straits Times reported that multiple shopping websites frequented by Singaporeans were targeted by card skimmers, resulting in the largest single-day haul of the details of 1,726 Singapore bank-issued payment cards.
